About Terry

Terry is passionate about helping people understand their bodies, recover from injury and continue doing the activities they love. He believes every person deserves to be listened to, thoroughly assessed and provided with care that is tailored to their individual needs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Since graduating with distinction in Chiropractic and Health Science, Terry has continued to expand his clinical knowledge through postgraduate education and ongoing professional development. His approach combines hands-on chiropractic care with rehabilitation, movement-based care and patient education, empowering people to better understand their body and take an active role in their recovery.

Throughout his career, Terry has had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals, from those managing everyday aches and pains to athletes competing at a high level. His clinical experience includes working with state and national-level martial artists, elite distance runners, competitive bodybuilders, golfers and other active individuals seeking to optimise their performance, recover from injury and continue participating in the activities they enjoy.

While Terry enjoys working with athletes, he believes everyone deserves the same level of care regardless of their age, occupation or activity level. Whether you’re experiencing your first episode of back pain, recovering from a sporting injury, managing a persistent musculoskeletal condition or simply wanting to move more comfortably, his goal is to help you understand your condition and work with you to develop a personalised management plan that supports your health and lifestyle.

Patients appreciate Terry’s approachable nature, attention to detail and commitment to providing clear explanations throughout every stage of care. He believes healthcare works best when practitioners and patients work together, combining evidence-informed care with practical strategies that support long-term health and wellbeing.

Outside The Clinic

Movement, Family & Life Outside Chiropractic

Outside the clinic, Terry enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Sussen, their daughter, Eva, and their energetic Kelpie, Rosie. Family is an important part of his life, and he understands that balancing health, work and personal commitments can often be challenging. This perspective shapes the practical advice he provides to patients, helping them find realistic ways to stay active within the demands of everyday life.

Terry has a lifelong fascination with human movement, physical performance and understanding how the body adapts to different challenges. He believes movement is something to be enjoyed and continually developed throughout life, regardless of age or experience.

He enjoys staying active through strength training, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, golf, running and yoga, appreciating that each discipline offers unique physical and mental benefits. Rather than training for perfection, he values movement as an opportunity to build resilience, maintain health and continue learning about the human body from both a clinical and personal perspective.

When he’s not in the clinic or training, Terry enjoys travelling, exploring the outdoors with his family and Rosie, and continuing his professional learning in musculoskeletal health, rehabilitation and human performance.

He believes the best healthcare comes from clinicians who not only continue to study their profession but also strive to live the healthy, active lifestyle they encourage in others.

Dr Sussen Stavridis

MSc (Biomedical Science), B.AppSc (Chiropractic) (Distinction), B.HSc (Distinction), B.An.Vet.Bio.Sc

About Sussen

For as long as she can remember, Sussen has been fascinated by the human body and its remarkable ability to adapt, recover and move. That curiosity has shaped her career and continues to inspire the way she practises today.

Sussen believes understanding the body is just as important as treating it. She is passionate about helping people make sense of their pain, recover from injury and build confidence in their movement through personalised chiropractic care, rehabilitation and education. She believes every person deserves to feel heard, understood and actively involved in decisions about their health.

After graduating with distinction in Chiropractic and Health Science, Sussen completed a Master of Science (Biomedical Science) at RMIT University. Her postgraduate studies and research strengthened her understanding of evidence-informed healthcare, anatomy, neuroscience and the importance of delivering personalised, patient-centred care.

Alongside clinical practice, Sussen has taught anatomy, rehabilitation and clinical sciences at RMIT University, where she has enjoyed educating and mentoring future chiropractors. Teaching has reinforced her belief that education is one of the most valuable tools in healthcare. She believes that when people understand their body and their condition, they are better equipped to make informed decisions about their health.

Alongside her clinical work, Sussen has contributed to published healthcare research, including work exploring culturally safe healthcare for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and broader aspects of patient-centred care. Her research reflects her commitment to evidence-informed practice and continually improving the way healthcare is delivered.

Her approach combines hands-on chiropractic care with rehabilitation, movement-based care and practical education. She enjoys working with people of all ages and activity levels, whether they are recovering from a sporting injury, managing persistent musculoskeletal pain, navigating pregnancy, returning to exercise or simply wanting to move with greater confidence.

Above all, Sussen believes healthcare is about building genuine relationships. She values taking the time to listen, explain her findings clearly and work collaboratively with each patient to develop a personalised management plan that reflects their goals, lifestyle and stage of life.

Family, Movement & Curiosity

Outside the clinic, Sussen loves spending quality time with her husband, Terry, their daughter, Eva, and their energetic Kelpie, Rosie. Becoming a mum has strengthened her appreciation for balancing health, movement and family life, and she understands that looking after yourself often needs to fit around the realities of work, parenting and everyday commitments.

She has a genuine passion for movement and enjoys strength training, running, dancing, yoga and hiking. Whether she’s learning a new skill, spending time outdoors with her family or simply enjoying movement for the joy of it, Sussen believes staying active is one of the best ways to care for both physical and mental wellbeing.

Her curiosity extends well beyond the clinic. She has a lifelong love of anatomy, neuroscience and human performance and is continually inspired by emerging research that helps bridge the gap between science and clinical practice.

She believes the best healthcare comes from combining evidence, experience and genuine human connection, and she strives to bring those values into every consultation.
